NexGen Networks Enhanced Network Latency Creates Fastest Routes to Toronto

Press Release

For Immediate Release

NexGen Networks Corp. reduced it’s current latency to Toronto and major exchanges by 58% with new network build in the upstate region.  The round trip latency of its already fast high capacity transport network on the route between Toronto and  NJ Datacenters resulting in round trip delay below 9.5 ms.

New York, NY, May 10, 2010 – NexGen Networks Corp. today announced the completion of a network improvement project designed to significantly reduce the latency between 151 Front Street and the New York City Metro area making this one of the quickest routes available in the market today. The improvement was obtained by taking advantage of recent Gas pipeline rights of ways in the upstate region which will avoid Albany as a stopping or route point of the fiber path to Toronto.  This reduces delay caused by additional mileage.

NexGen Networks Corp. deployed this long haul network offering  for sub 1 Gig, 1Gig, 2.5Gig and 10Gig wavelength services. The additional investment was made in response to customers that place a high value on low latency networks. Financial Institutions and Brokerage/Trading Firms as well as Regional/Global Telecommunications Carriers leverage these low latency networks to implement trading applications, data storage networks, research and education infrastructure and DR/BC applications. NexGen Networks Corp. is also working on lighting additional DWDM transport routes over its more than 6,500 metro and long-haul fiber route mile network utilizing major railways and gas pipeline to create diversity and increased efficiency further reducing route mileage and delay.  NexGen Networks “Flashwave” service is based on DWDM systems with superior nanosecond low latency throughput.

NexGen provides secure, low latency fiber and transport service and solutions for its customers specifically in the financial vertical.  NexGen realizes and understands the market in which nanoseconds can be the difference in trades won or lost in the electronic world of trading.
